About Madeleine de Cock Buning

Madeleine de Cock Buning's research focusses, besides the areas traditionally belonging to that subject, specifically on the regulation of the exchange (through public communication) of information through mass media. In her research she focusses on the importance of access to (independent) information and the (European) regulatory issues connected to that. Her research is on the relation between the public interest in the development of (independent) information and the individual interest in excersising (intellectual) property rights on information, the relation between the public and the private domain.
